Although it was late in the afternoon, a family of lions (Panthera leo) were still in deep sleep in Maasai Mara National Reserve. Lions usually hunt at night and finish their meals early in the morning. So the rest of the whole day is no more than just resting and sleeping, especially in August, when millions of wildebeests and zebras swarm into Maasai Mara from Serengeti. No worry in shortage of food!
