I was aware that there was a wildcat, Felis silvestris cafra, roaming TBI Ileret camp. And I came across it quite a few times at night. However, seeing it during the day was totally unexpected! I was fortunate enough to find this recluse sitting on the wall of the lab's corridor, when chasing after some birds with my camera. I was approaching very carefully, which allowed me to get the camera settings right before this ultra-vigilant animal spotted me.
