This photo was taken during my visit to the Animal Orphanage of Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) in Nairobi. A male ostrich, Struthio camelus, standing over 2 meters tall, was in a very close range, which enabled me to take a portrait of it with full zoom from below. The soft afternoon light and the shadow of the trees were just perfect to make a photo of rich color and contrast.
